Andrew has been reaching for things like crazy! Especially when we put him in the Bumbo. We often forget and turn a round to see something new in his hands. One of these days it will be our drinks ;-)
On Saturday, we met Wes, Shelly, and the kids at the lake. We had not
been out there this summer and thought it might be fun to grill and play
in the water.
James and Andrew watching Hanna play in the water.
Ethan running toward the lake :-) Gotta keep a close eye on that cutie!
Andrew wishing he was a little older to be able to play with his cousins.
What a very muddy boy! He had so much fun. He is going to have a BLAST at the beach!
Ethan and Wes in the water. Ethan also loved the water! If you look closely Wes has a monkey on his back.
Andrew decides to brave the water.
Dipping the toes in
He loved it!
We weren't sure what he would think but he really enjoyed it! Especially the waves. He even tried eating the sand which he found out is not tasty!
Me and my sweet, sweet boy! I could just eat him up; he is so sweet!
Since Andrew has decided food was okay, he has become a food connoisseur! He will eat anything. So far we have tried: green beans, avocado, banana, peaches, prunes, apple sauce, prunes and apples, avocado banana. His favorite so far: Sweet potatoes!
This week at Mother's Day Out the theme was Pirates. It was the BEST week. My kids got into the theme and played pirates. On Thursday, we went on a treasure hunt. I am not sure who had more fun, me or the kids :-) Here are the cutest pirates I have ever seen!!!
This weekend Andrew, James, and I went out to dinner at Texas Roadhouse. Andrew was so well behaved, even while we had to wait. And for the first time, he sat in a high chair. He loved it, especially looking all around.
The Dr. recommended we try juice to help him go to the restroom. We have tried every type, but he doesn't like any... We died laughing when we saw this "wow! that's sour!" face. The original one was priceless!
Are we liking rice cereal any better? You be the judge.
Last week we gave Andrew rice cereal for the first time. After a conversation with his nurse, we decided it was time. (Apparently our child eats a lot of formula. Who knew?!?!) Since his birth weight has double and he is staring us down when we eat, we decided okay; we will give it a shot.
End result: he could take it or leave it. Since it was mostly formula, he tolerated it. Here is a video.
Every Thursday at Mother's Day Out all the kids go to the chapel, even the babies. It is a wonderful time of singing praise songs to our Wonderful God! It is also neat because I get to see Andrew. He loves to watch everyone and he loves music! Usually, his very sweet teachers carry him in, which is no easy feat... weighing in at 16 pounds. But today he was in the big boy stroller!!!
