Date Day with Hannah

James and I stole Hannah for the afternoon. We started our morning at the Brookshire's park. It is amazing how much she has grown. She can tell us what she wants now. Today it was the swing.
After the park, we headed to the Pottery Cafe. Hannah painted a pumpkin. She had more fun playing with the water and brushes.

What a great uncle! He painted Hannah a plate :-) We used her thumbprint to make ladybugs.

The final product. Ya... pumpkins are usually orange, BUT Hannah loves pink!

All of us with our projects.

What outing would be complete without a stop at McDonald's!

After eating our meal, we headed to the playground! She absolutely had a blast!
Boo! We see you!
All smiles!

Thanks Wes and Shelly for sharing your sweet girl with us!

New York

The plane ride

The room... Very hard bed :-(
The Rockefeller Tree

Eating at Rockefeller Center.... if this counts as eating... maybe not with manners

Our first production to see!

The stage

Our view... we sat three rows back from the front of the stage! The seats were remarkable!

This is the BEST show ever! My honey sure knows how to pick shows!

We went to the balloon blow up... bad idea... very bad!

Alana showed us where to get excellent pizza... did I mention it was in Brooklyn. But it was really awesome to wall over the bridge and see the town.

The end of the parade. My wonderful hubby braved the cold and crowds to get a front row spot. we left our hotel at 5:30.

This was our favorite park, Bryant Park. We watched the ice skaters, drank hot chocolate, and bought ornaments.

One of our many adventures on the subway!

My stepdad treated us to a very nice Thanksgiving Dinner. We ate at a French restaurant. James got t

Enjoying the best steak and potatoes I have ever eaten!

At Central Park

Night out to the Nutcracker. Very different version then the one we grew up with.

Birthday Week

Last weekend we headed to Houston to celebrate Mike and my birthdaya. Surprisingly, Mike was able to join us for a play at the AD Players and then we headed to dinner. My mom had the person walking around blowing up balloons make Mike a hat. Thankfully, she didn't suggest it for me.

This is Mike and my first shared birthday cake! My mom has always made sure we each had our special day. She now says it's James's job for mine LOL

A quick picture of the three of us before we all headed in different directions.

On Wednesday, James surprised me with a bouquet of flowers hand delivered by my most favorite person in the world. When my class walked in from lunch, there he was sitting in my desk chair. Needless to say, I was completely surprised and so happy! My kids then performed their play for him.

On Friday, Shelly and Wes had us over for Birthday Dinner. Wes made a delicious steak and Shelly made very yummy mashed potatoes. Then we had cupcakes made my James. I was so shocked because they look just like the ones we ate (and LOVED) in New York. He worked so hard on these and it meant to much!

All of us (- James) eating the yummy cupcakes.

All of us (-Shelly) eating cupcakes

Granny and Papaw's card arrived that day with money :-) Shelly and Wes bought me a gift card to The Loft! James got me this purse I was dying to have (and knew I was getting)... but he surprised me with the matching wallet!
Then it was play time with balls and the pool.

Crazy hair!!!

Wow! What an amazing birthday! I am so blessed and definitely felt so loved!!! Thank you every one!

Celebrating Christmas

Our Sunday School class celebrated Christmas with a bonfires, smores and all!
It was very chilly!

We also had a white elephant gift. Below is Marianne and JD. This couple won our lovely gifts of a musical Christmas tie and crushed velvet Santa boxer.

Shelly and Wes had us over for weekly dinner. We decided to celebrate Christmas a little early. We thought might be easier than hauling the huge box of balls. I had so much fun playing with Hannah and it definitely cheered her up. (Apparently she did not nap well)

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Since we went to New York this year, we decorated a little late. We are very happy it is finally looking like Christmas! :-)
