What we have been up to

This is a left over picture from Andrew's doctor appointment. Such a sweet smile and little boy!
James and I have been working on freshening up our yard. Early Saturday morning , we got up and headed to get plants. Andrew is still a little sleepy.
It warmed up so we got a outfit change. :-) He hung out in the stroller while we planted.
Taking a little nap.
On Friday, Wes and the kids came over for dinner. (Shelly was AWOLing it!) I made her a slush out of popcicle. She enjoyed the tasty treat.
On Monday, Hannah went to the doctor, so Ethan came to play. I must say Shelly has her hands full. This sweet boy is a ball of energy. He never, never stops! Love this little guy!
Andrew is getting better at holding his rattle. He is staying awake longer and much more alert. He is following people around the room. Loving hanging out with him!

Dallas

James had a trip in Dallas a couple of weekends ago, so Andrew and I went with him. We stayed at my friend, Catherine's home. We have known each other since college and our husband's are both pharmacist. She has a 9 month precious baby girl, Ellie. Andrew and Ellie met for the first time. While James was at the conference, Catherine and I went shopping. The kids were so good! We had a blast and can't wait to go back!

2 months Update

Andrew had his 2 month check up. He weighted 12 pounds (58%) and was 22 3/4 inches long (46%). He got his first set of shots. He became upset when Nurse Lacy held his legs down and he continued once he got the shots. Poor Baby! Next time we will know to give Tylenol BEFORE. Rookie Parent Mistake!

Andrew, you have become a very, very sweet baby. Once we started giving you Prevacid, you are a much happier baby. When I take you places, people always comment on how content and easy going you are. We agree! You definitely have your daddy's personality and I LOVE that! We love you so much little buddy! Thank you for making us parents!
You LOVE to snuggle! You love your green blankie. I have to watch carefully because you will bury your face in the blanket. You also are enjoying your swing more.
Daddy is your favorite. When he gets home, he loves holding you, and you love being in his arms.
Baxter loves you too. He would lick you all day if I would let him. He spends a lot of time by your side, and is always the first to run to you if you cry... which you are doing MUCH less of.

At two months you:
~wear  size 0-3...  not much longer!!!
~ Wear size 1 diapers
~ Sleep from 10-6:30 with out waking up!!! Another reason we love you! God knew your parents still needed their rest. You then eat your bottle and go back to sleep until 9ish
~You are starting to track objects and recognize mommy and daddy.
~ Drink 4 oz every 2-3 hours and usually 6 oz at 9 am and then right before bed.

When we took you to your doctor's appointment, Dr. Austin asked if you were lifting your head. When you were first born you would, but you don't any more. Dr. Austin prescribed more tummy time. It doesn't seem to work because you either suck your fist or scream!
You are still sleeping in your nap nanny during the night. Dr. Austin suggested limiting your use of the nap nanny. So you usually take your naps in the bouncer. Mommy tried the crib but you didn't approve. I love walking in to this happy face in the mornings. You are happiest in the morning.
You got your first true scratch which drew blood!
Gigi bought you some new clothes. You love hanging out on your diaper changing pad. We often pick this up and carry it around the room. We call this baby taco because your get rolled up in it.

The other day you were helping Mommy with the laundry and because completely worn out! I turned around and found you knocked out!
Buddy Boy, we love you! We love watching you grow!
Hugs and Kisses,
Mommy and Daddy

2 Months

Andrew is 2 months today! We are going to the doctor tomorrow, so I will post his stats then. :-) In the meantime, enjoy this short video.

Easter

Daddy left very early for work. Then we met daddy at church. James was singing in an octet. I didn't take any pictures, but I did record it. :-)

 Ready to worship!

James and I

Andrew and Coleman worn out after listening to the message.
After church service, Andrew and I headed to Aunt Christie and Uncle Justin's for lunch. We also met up with Wes, Shelly, and the kids. They are all wearing seersucker but Shelly and I didn't plan this. (Believe us or not! Ha!) But they turned out so cute! Love those babies!!!
While lunch was cooking, the kids went hunting for eggs.

We ate yummy lunch and had festive cupcakes.
After all the partying, we headed home to take a nap. Then James came home and we gave Andrew his Easter Basket. It was filled with Veggie Tales movie, his first Bible, clothes and shoes.
Aunt Shelly and Uncle Wes bought him this cute bib and fun rattle!

Aunt Christie and Uncle Justin bought him this Easter bunny... Talk about spoiled little cutie!
Then I read Andrew the Easter story.

Although we missed Daddy, it was a blessed Easter. This little boy has brought so much joy into our lives.

PreEaster

On Saturday evening,Wes, Shelly, and the kids came over to celebrate Easter with us. I wanted James to feel like he didn't completely miss out on all the fun since he was working. I cooked ham, potatoes, and broccoli. Then James and I gave the kids Easter baskets.

Andrew hanging out watching his cousins.
For dessert we had Rice Krispie Eggs for dessert... or as Hannah calls them "White brownies"

Three Years

On April 4th James and I celebrated 3 years! It is SO hard to believe that we have been married that long yet at the same time I have a hard time remember life without James. I am so blessed to be married to by best friend. I am so thankful God created the perfect man for me. He is better husband and daddy than I could have imagined. James brought me flowers home. The arrangement is very similar to the one he placed in my bedroom the night he proposed. For lunch, we went to Carino's while Aunt Shelly watch Andrew. Then we went and had a massage. It was a wonderful treat. It was a wonderful, wonderful day!

Handsome Like Daddy

One of our favorite things to do is dress Andrew! (Especially since all my regular clothes are still not fitting and I am TIRED of my maternity clothes.ha!)  All of you know how much James and I love clothes and shopping so poor Andrew has become our little doll. But of course... we NEVER pay full price for any thing. That's part of the fun! Oh and we have gotten some GREAT clothes from Ethan. Thanks Uncle Wes and Aunt Shelly for sharing!
