Showering Andrew

My sweet Sunday School friends had a  shower for me. We are truly blessed!

The cake... it was amazing! It was in the shape in Noah's Ark.
The table center pieces

The sweet hostesses
Shelly and I~ I am sooo very  blessed to have the best sis in law ever!
Marianne made these burp cloths. She is so talented.

Shelly bought this ADORABLE tie for Andrew!!! I need to get a close up of it. It is the cutest!

Shed

James, his dad, and Wes came and helped us build a shed! We are so thankful and it looks so good! Now all we need to do is paint but that will have to wait until the Spring. We even were able to clean out the garage and fill the shed :-) Below is the pictures of their handiwork.

34 Weeks

I am 34 weeks... only 6 more to go. Andrew is approximately 5 pounds (the size of a cantaloupe) and 18 inches long. We went to the doctor on Tuesday and she said that everything was progressing well.

On Saturday, the Cooks, friends of ours from Houston, were in Longview, so we met up with them for some dinner. This is Caleb with his kid size hotdog. We also met Mr. Luke for the first time! It was so nice catching up with old friends! Craig invited us up to the hospital for an ultrasound. It was the best gift ever! We got to see Andrew. He is facing head down near my left hip bone. He then has wrapped himself across my belly and then up toward my ribs. His little bottom is right below my right rib. His feet dangle below my left rib. It was such a blessing seeing him!
This week I washed all of Andrew's laundry. What a big basket of laundry!

I guess my nesting has been working on sewing projects. I have learned how to make burp cloths. Below is a gift for a friend who is having a girl. I also have been making paci clips. Next project after the curtains, burp cloths for Andrew. I can't wait! I think I am driving James crazy with the dining room being changed into a project room!

The Nursery is Almost Complete

James and I have continued to finish up the nursery. We made a French Memo Board that we plan to put pictures of Andrew's family in. James was definitely the brains behind this project! Who knew a memo board could require so much math!!!

I also made curtains for his room. Well.. I made one curtain. The other one is a work in progress.

Lastly, we got the nursing glider in. His room is looking better and better every day! Once the other curtain is complete, the nursery will be too!!! How exciting! It is getting so close.

Melisa's Shower

Our Sunday School class hosted a shower for my friend, Melisa at our home. She is due at the end of January, so we are about a month apart.  James and I made several decorations and a good time was had by all. I am so blessed to be married to James! He is soooo helpful at all my projects, and I couldn't do it without him.  Here are some pictures from the shower.

We made the bow removable so she can add a pink or blue bow once the baby comes! We also made the letter removable.

Pineapple and Balloon

I am 33 weeks on Friday. Andrew is now 4 pounds, the about the weight of a pineapple and 17 inches long. I continue to feel him more and more each day. James has walked in on me just staring at my stomach. I love watching him flip and flop around. With the heavier little boy... comes.... a new pregnancy symptom... Swelling. I feel like I have become a balloon. I got to the doctor on Tuesday and am looking forward to hearing his little heartbeat.

James has been working on finishing the letters. He did such a great job!

We also put together the pack and play.

Yea for things being crossed of the list!
