Chicken Pizza? No,... Chichen Itza

We made the long journey to Chichen Itza yesterday. It was neat seeing the Mayan Culture. The bus ride was definitely a long one. We began the excursion at 7:00 and didn’t return until 8:00, so it was a very long day! James even let me buy a beautiful plate for our soon to be new kitchen as well as a jaguar whistle that makes the jaguar sound. Below are the pictures from the trip.

After returning we ate dinner at the Fondue restaurant. It was very yummy but more importantly it was fun to do!

Today we spent the whole day at the beach. The sun rays are more direct here so we lathered on sunscreen SPF 30 and 50 for our face, yet I still managed to get sunburned!!! It was a great day of playing in the waves, reading books, and siesta. We intended to go snorkeling today, but the waves are still too strong.

Tomorrow we are headed to the Explorer. At this park you can zipline, float on a raft through caves, and ride 4 wheelers through the jungle. We are very excited! It should be a great end to our vacation
