Cowboy Up!
As many of you know, I recently started teaching Mother's Day Out at Colonial Hills. I am LOVING it!!! I have been longing to teach little kids for awhile now, but it just doesn't pay. Now though, it brings us in a little extra money and I get to continue using my teaching skills. It is perfect! We have themes each week. Last week was Cowboy Week. Isn't he the most precious cowboy you have ever seen?!? Being sooo patient waiting too while I took a picture, no several pictures and tried to get him to smile.
Hannah Kate goes to Colonial Hill as well. I might (fingers cross) get to be her teacher in the fall. :-) What a joy! Love these two! Monday, June 25, 2012
Father's Day
Okay, so I am a little behind blogging. We celebrated James's First Father's Day. On Saturday, Andrew and I took James to Jalopeno Tree and we went to Corner Bakery for the cake ever!!!
James and his favorite buddy
We made James yummy banana pudding.
James about to open his gift.
It was a backpack with goodies in it. Then James went and took a long nap. A rare occasion.
I hope James had a fabulous day. He is a wonderful dad and husband and we LOVE him SOOO much!!!

4 Months!!!
Andrew, you are soaking up the world! around him. You are learning sooo much each day! Today, you had a rough day because you have your second cold. :-( You were a trooper and slept most of the day. We have loved watching all you learned this month. You had several first.
At four months:
~You wear size 2 diapers.
~ Wearing size 3-6 month clothing.
~Wearing size 1 shoes
~Sleeping from 10 pm - 7 am usually
~Eating every 2 hours, drinking 5 oz. We are working on 6 oz/ every 3 hours
~Napping about 3 times a day for 1 -2 hours.
~Slept in your crib for the first time this week. You did really great. By the end of the week you were having it. But since you got sick you are back in your Nap Nanny to help you breath.
~You have started noticing people and things in mirror
~You LOVE LOVE LOVE bath time!
~You went swimming for the first time. You weren't so sure of it!
You went to VBS for the first time. You had a blast. This is the only time I remembered to take my camera, but you actually played the whole time with Mrs. Leslie. She made you work your neck!
You have found your toes and are loving playing on your mat.
You spend a lot of your day in the Bumbo. Look at how good you are doing with your neck while Mommy was doing laundry. You were trying to watch the fan.
You love your rattles, especially the crab.
You have started trying to escape your bouncer. We have to strap you in. :-)
You are doing a little better lifting your head. We will see what the doctor says on Wednesday. You still hate it. We bought you a tiny pillow to help encourage you... but it isn't working yet.
Daddy working with you on lifting your head. You get to be Superman every night! You also love kicking things!

Home to Houston
We made a quick trip to Houston. James's grandfather, Papaw, has been ill, so we wanted to go and see him. We visited other family, too! Only I have done an awful job at taking pictures.
Gigi feeding Andrew. Gigi wasn't happy that I was taking her picture, but we have ZERO pictures of her holding him. He isn't going to believe that she actually took care of him for a month!!!
Andrew all worn out from too much fun!
On Sunday we went to church with James's parents. James was able to show Andrew to people he grew up knowing. I know it meant a lot to him. Then we headed back to Gigi for some time in the the pool. This is Andrew's first time in the pool.
Splashing his toesies.
No, Mama... I will NOT look at the camera!
On Saturday, we went and visited Granny and Papaw in the hospital. Andrew got lot of love and cuddles from Granny.
Granny feeding Andrew.
Papaw even held Andrew for a second.
This man is so special to us!!! We pray that God continues to heal him and that he will regain all his strength. Granny is taking excellent care of Papaw. They are an excellent example of a Christian marriage and we are so blessed to have them in our lives!!!
It was a very fast trip, but we are so glad we were able to spend time with family. We are looking forward to coming back soon!
