Spring Cleaning

It has been forever since I blogged but I have been awful at taking pics... and it seems we are never doing anything THAT interesting! :-) LOL Here is the recent update. (This is for you, Granny)
I have recently taken up making bows. These are some of the bows I made for a baby shower. (Of course, I made a couple for Hannah as well. :-))
Hannah's new favorite thing at Aunt Jenn and Uncle James's: Sprinkles + Jello = Happy Hannah

We celebrated Shelly and Wes's birthday. Hannah helped with the cake.

When we were pregnant, James was so thoughtful and surprised me with roses. A very nice treat! Even though we are no longer pregnant, I have learned a lot about gratitude and thankfulness. We know that God is faithful, and one day, in his time,  we hope to be Godly parents.
We also celebrated Melisa's birthday! What a blessing she has been in my life!
James's coworker is having a girl. These are the matching bows I made for the dress we bought her.
The very cool bird's nest we found in the bushes we chopped down.
Our precious puppy next to our new tree. Look how well he posed!

The pile of plants torn out.... the overflowing trash can had already been taken to the curb.

The fruits of our labor
The beautiful lily. One day we hope to plant bulbs with our kids to help teach them about plants. Next spring we will just steal Hannah and Ethan to practice :-)

More Updates

So, James and I gave in and hired someone to help us with some of the painting. He gave us a great price!
Here is the bedroom before.

Here is the middle bedroom, what will one day be the nursery. Right now, it is one of the boarding rooms for when family visits since Wes and Shelly no longer have a spare room. Thankfully, they were very generous and donated the bed and book shelf for the room.

Yes, it is blue, but that is where Noah's Ark will be. :-)

In the Master bathroom, there was yellow cheetah wallpaper.

Finished Projects

Remember when we took Hannah to the Pottery Cafe? Well, here are the final products!

Isn't Uncle James TALENTED?!?
An artist in the making! Look at the use of color!

We finally finished the kitchen today. Thanks, Shelly, for being the tie breaker! I am glad we went with brown on top! I must say I am very happy with the results!

The cheetah print is gone!

Date Night with Hannah

Hannah came to play while Shelly and Wes went out on a date! Here are some pictures of our time together. I love living so close to Wes and Shelly! It is really a blessing watch Miss Hannah grow up!

Since Hannah ate all her dinner (a rarity!), we gave her Jello!

I think she enjoys it!
Cooking with Uncle James... All was going well until... Uncle James suggested Hannah taste her cooking!
Bite...  Look at how good she is getting with a spoon!
What exactly am I supposed to do?!?
Paper is so fun!!!
It's raining snow!
Making cookies, but not as good as Granny!
Hannah decided she would show James how it is done!
All worn out!

It's Snowing!!!

James had to work on Sunday while it was snowing, but once we got home we headed out to play in it!

Our home with snow covering it!

Baxter LOVED the snow! He loved hiding his ball in the snow! It was the best game ever!
Look at the face!

Date Day with Hannah

James and I stole Hannah for the afternoon. We started our morning at the Brookshire's park. It is amazing how much she has grown. She can tell us what she wants now. Today it was the swing.
After the park, we headed to the Pottery Cafe. Hannah painted a pumpkin. She had more fun playing with the water and brushes.

What a great uncle! He painted Hannah a plate :-) We used her thumbprint to make ladybugs.

The final product. Ya... pumpkins are usually orange, BUT Hannah loves pink!

All of us with our projects.

What outing would be complete without a stop at McDonald's!

After eating our meal, we headed to the playground! She absolutely had a blast!
Boo! We see you!
All smiles!

Thanks Wes and Shelly for sharing your sweet girl with us!
