House Update

James and I worked very hard to get our home ready for our Sunday School class. The guest bathroom had black and white wallpaper which I hated. So we spent the weekend stripping the wallpaper. Before:After

We used plaster and a broom to give it a texture. We hope to get it painted green by the weekend.
James hung green curtains in the guest room.

He also hung up cream curtains in the front part of the room. We order a new green rug. The other rug didn't hold up with our puppy.

We added purple curtains to the back of the room.

Lastly, we order yellow curtains and bought a new table.

Our house is definitely beginning to feel like home! It is neat to finally see it all come together.

Halloween

For Halloween, we went over to Wes and Shelly's. It was a great time watching all the kiddos prepare to go Trick-o-Treating.

Bloody Mary

We hosted are Sunday School Mystery Murder Dinner. We were given characters to role play, and we had to determine who the murder was. At the beginning of the evening, we also had a chance to find weapons. James and I found 3 out of 4 of the weapons. What we didn't realize at that time was we were going to have to use them. It was a fun evening, and we really enjoyed having our friends at our house. We look forward to having opportunity to having our friends over more often. :-)

Pumpkin Patch

On Saturday, James and I took Hannah to the Pumpkin Patch while Shelly and Wes volunteered Parental Ministries. We had a blast and definitely wore Miss Hannah out! We think her favorite part was the barrel ride. Here are the pictures we took:

We tried to pick a pumpkin but the selection was very limited.

We bought Hannah a spider bow. She knew exactly were it was when I asked her where the spider was. She had a choice between a turkey and spider. She chose the spider.

A closer view of the bow.

Hannah and Aunt Jenn going through the maze. We should have done this before climbing on the bales of hay because she thought that was what these were for!

Us at the pumpkin patch! She is holding the mini pumpkin she picked!

Another barrel ride!

We had such a wonderful afternoon! We are so blessed to live so close by!

Family Photos

A

I recently realized that we did not have any family pictures with our precious puppy! So... we asked Wes (James's Brother) if he would be willing to take our picture. After work, he met us at the Children's Park for the photo shoot. He did a fabulous job!!! Thanks, Wes! He was very patient while we worked to pose our ill-behaved excited puppy.

We found this one to be our favorite... since it represented most of the evening. Posing Baxter was much harder than anticipated. Next time, we will come with treats and a toy to grab his attention!
