Clappin' Baby

Andrew loves to clap, especially to music. Lately, he will randomly will start clapping when he likes a song. His favorite songs right now are Ants Go Marching and Pop Goes the Weasel.

A little Getaway!

James had a conference in Austin so I tagged along. We went out for yummy Mexican food Friday night!

Then we headed to Cheesecake Factory for Tuxedo Cheesecake to go (same dessert as our groom's cake). We ate cheesecake and watch "The Middle" one of our favorite shows!

Saturday James was at the conference but he had a break. There was a HUGE shopping center walking distance, so I picked him up and we went browsing. 

Then I went shopping and got a pedicure. I sent James a picture and asked him which ones. LOL I even read a book! Boy! I had so much fun!

Saturday night we headed to Old Pecan Street Cafe, one  of my favorites! 

They have the best Chicken Parmesan!!! And we were able to sit outside. 

We went to Esther's Follies! SOO funny! Had a fabulous time! Then we walked outside after the show and it was POURING! Needless to say, we had so much fun walking and laughing in the rain.

We had so much fun! I am so thankful for a little alone time and a little us time. We missed our baby, but it was nice to get rejuvenated.

Andrews Stay

After the farm we headed to visit Nana and Grandpa.

 Then we went "shopping", but having a toddler made for a whole new experience!!!

We made it back to Gigi's and Andrew wanted to go swimming.

The next morning James and I had already left by the time Andrew woke up.  Sweet sleepy smile!

Eating breakfast. He was even spoiled with eggs.

Gigi took him to a petting zoo... Sadly, Andrew was only interested in the sand.

They ate at ChickFilA. Andrew tried the big kid playground for the first time... wasn't so sure about it.

Everyone needs paintbrush with dinner.

Andrew even go to eat on a real plate.

He LOVED playing with all the toys... but the best part was GIGI playing on the floor with him!

Who doesn't need to cool off?!?!

Thank you Gigi for taking SUCH good care of Andrew! We appreciate you letting us have a getaway!

A Day at the Farm

We headed down to Houston for a quick visit. James and I were continuing to Austin for his conference and Andrew was staying with Gigi. Andrew wanted to make sure we didn't forget him!

We went to Granny's on Thursday. This boy loves pillows!!!

He loved putting the blocks into the truck. I think he did this for at least 30 minutes.

Andrew was helping Granny sweep the porch. This boy loves a broom!!!

We ventured to say hi to Friskie the Horse. Friskie gave Andrew kisses. Andrew wasn't a fan. 

 Andrew decided he needed to explore on his own. Friskie followed.

We hung out with Glen and Emily too.  Friskie belongs to Emily.

Then we went to see the cows and donkey, Isaiah.

We had  so much fun on the farm. We loved visiting Granny and Papaw. Seeing Glen and Emily was a bonus! So thankful for these memories!

Sick boy

Two Fridays ago, Andrew started running fever that evening. He didn't want to eat either. On Saturday, Andrew's fever was up to 102 so we took him to the doctor.

 Seeing him was so sad, but he sure did give good cuddles.

Reminded me of when he was a baby. 

Sweet boy!

So thankful he is well now!
