Fun Friday

 Loving some pancakes

After a little errand running, we stopped at Sonic to bounce. Every time we drive by, Andrew asks to jump so we spoiled him a little.

Trying to do a somersault.

26 Weeks

This picture was taken after I asked James, can you see him? His response, Ummm, YES!!!
How far along? I am 26 weeks pregnant.  Ben is about 1 2/3 pounds and measures 14 inches (about the size of a scallion) from head to heel. He's inhaling and exhaling small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential for the development of his lungs. These so-called breathing movements are also good practice for when he's born and takes that first gulp of air.
Heartbeat: 140s bpm
Maternity clothes?  Yep! Thankfully, James spoiled me this weekend and I am SET for the summer! I guess he got tired of seeing me in only PCM shirts ;-)
Sleep: Slept pretty well this week :-)
Best Moment This Week:  Ben's baby shower and seeing family. We had fun seeing everyone and the cake was absolutely adorable!!! Shelly and Ranell really went above and beyond! We were definitely showered!
Movement: Yes, all day long!!! It just amazes me how much I feel him! LOVE it!
Food Cravings: Hmmm nothing this week. Trying to make healthier choices...
Food Aversions: Tacos
Gender: A BOY!!! BENJAMIN LUKE TYLER... our little BLT
What I Miss: Regular pants... maternity pants just don't stay up well!
What I am Looking Forward to:  Setting up the NURSERY! James said we will paint next weekend. Hoping we have time! I am DYING to organize all our new goodies!!!

Here is me with Andrew at 26 weeks. I think that I am carrying Ben lower than Andrew. Any thoughts?

Sad Saturday

Daddy had to work on a Saturday. We missed him but tried to keep busy. We went to Faulkner Park and Andrew climbed to the top of the rock.

We went to a garage sale and found this treasure for $2.

We practiced puzzles.

And sorting. Andrew knows all of his main colors, although there is still a little confusion between yellow and blue.

And we watched a show while having toes for a snack.

Potty Training

Potty Training has begun. There are good days and okay days. If cousins are over and he is having too much fun, he forgets and has a lot more accidents. We are going to keep trying, but he may still be a little young.

Cool Kid

One morning, Andrew was missing Daddy, so he carried around his picture.

And wore his shirt.

This cool kid sure does love his daddy.

Like Mama

Before bed Andrew put on my necklace.

Then he tried to figure out how to get earrings on.

Thankfully, no success.

Andrew cleaned the shower

Put on my "dress"

And flossed his teeth

How far along? I am 25 weeks pregnant.  Ben is about 13 1/2 inches long and about 1.5 pounds. Similar to the size of a rutabaga. Ben's lungs are really beginning to get ready for breathing. His tiny nostrils, which have been plugged up until now, are starting to open, and his vocal chords are getting ready to roar.
Heartbeat: 140s bpm
Maternity clothes?  Yep
Sleep: Rough week on sleep. :-)

Movement: Yes, all day long!!! It just amazes me how much I feel him! LOVE it!
Food Cravings: Hmmm nothing this week. Trying to make healthier choices...
Food Aversions: Tacos
Gender: A BOY!!! BENJAMIN LUKE TYLER... our little BLT

24 Weeks

How far along? I am 24 weeks pregnant.  Ben is about 1 1/3 pounds and a foot long. His brain is also growing quickly now, and his taste buds are continuing to develop. His lungs are developing "branches" of the respiratory "tree" as well as cells that produce surfactant, a substance that will help his air sacs inflate once he hits the outside world. His skin is still thin and translucent, but that will start to change soon.
Heartbeat: 140s bpm
Maternity clothes?  Yep
Sleep: Pretty good
Best Moment This Week:  Seeing Gigi!
Movement: Yes, all day long!I better start working on my running skills.
Food Cravings: Brownies
Food Aversions: Tacos
Gender: A BOY!!! BENJAMIN LUKE TYLER... our little BLT
What I Miss:Nothing this week
What I am Looking Forward to:  Having a working gate! Grandpa and Wes planning on helping James fix the gate!!!

Determined!!!

Andrew is determined. I was on the phone with my mom. He was asking for the tractor. I told him I would help him in a minute. Apparently, that was too long. He dragged the tractor from the garage through the house to the backyard. Boy, is he strong.... and strong willed.

Church Woes

At church, Andrew got his first goose egg. I figured he had been standing on a chair... no, he tripped over a toy.

Didn't stop him from having fun!
Loves hats.

And put Mousey Jammies when he got in the car. Thanks, Gigi....

Living Room Redo

We recently update the entry way and living room. We painted all the walls. It was a lot of work, but we loved how it turned out.

We  cleaned up Ben's room.  I went through all the box and started washing and sorting things! Nesting is in full swing. I wish I had taken a pic before.

23 Weeks

How far along? I am 23 weeks pregnant.  Ben is more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about the size of a large mango). Blood vessels in his lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that Ben's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing his for entry into the outside world.
Heartbeat: 140s bpm
Maternity clothes?  Yes... Hoping to get a few spring things soon!
Sleep: Pretty good... but very vivid dreams. I had  a terrible dream where James divorced me. I woke up in a panic and had to make the long roll over to make sure he was still there.  :-) Thankfully, he still was!
Best Moment This Week:  Hearing Ben's heart beat! Love that sound!
Movement: Yes, all day long!I better start working on my running skills.
Food Cravings: Swedish Fish this week
Food Aversions: Tacos
Gender: A BOY!!! BENJAMIN LUKE TYLER... our little BLT
What I Miss: Not having to worry about my blood pressure. I went to doctor on Wednesday and my blood pressure was high. I was surprised, because it had been so good since my pleursy that I had even stopped taking it regularly.  Now, I am back to taking it every day a couple times throughout the day... different times. Thankfully, it has returned back to my normal. God has answered prayers! Very, very thankful!!!
What I am Looking Forward to:  Gigi coming to visit!!! ... and James finishing this dresser. All the clothes are freshly washed and need  a place!Gigi is also bringing baskets from Dollar Tree (ours is out!) and I can place blankets, sheets, and other items. I LOVE baskets. ;-)
