Sickly

When I picked up Andrew from school, he was cranky so I thought he was hungry like usual. I gave him an apple sauce packet. Apparently, he was not hungry.

He was running fever. All he wanted to do was stay in Daddy's arms. He couldn't stay away.

Eyelids are so heavy....

I am trying to stay awake...

Just can't do it.

Poor baby. Glad it only lasted 24 hours!

Ouch!

Baby boy got bit by something...  So we took him to the doctor to make sure he was still getting circulation to the chubby fingers.

"Patiently" waiting for the doctor. Thankfully, she just sent us home with a steroid cream.

On Friday, Andrew went to a Pediatric Ophthalmologist because we have notice his left eye going inward, especially in pictures (notice in above picture)  We went to Houston because James and I didn't want to wait until August.

I was really worried about him behaving because he is not usually good at doctor's office. But he was much better than expected. He also got a good report. The doctor believes it is a false wandering eye caused by the shape of his face. So very, very thankful for this news!

Meet Miss Emma

On one of James's days off we headed to Dallas to meet Miss Emma Claire Watson. She is absolutely ADORABLE!!!

She was such a snugglebug!

Since Catherine has been busy with Emma, the older kids thought they would help her with chores.

And of course we played with bubbles

Oh and found Jarod's water hose

A little of this and that

Shelly and I went garage sale shopping, and she found these sorting animals. She was kind enough to give them up and I plan to use them in my classroom. I kept six out for Andrew to play with in his eggs.

He had fun sorting the eggs.

That was too easy ;-) so we got out the spoon.  (pardon the finger)

Next activity for the day.... coloring. With two crayons. So fun!

Thankfully, they are washable crayons.
Shelly and I dressed the boys alike on Mother's Day without planning it.

Who doesn't love mashed potatoes?!?!?

Loves Mama's sunglasses!

Thanks Aunt Shelly and Uncle Wes for the playhouse! It is one of my favorite hangouts.

Balloons in the bathtub. Who knew they could bring hours of entertainment?!?! Or at least 20 minutes!

Love watching this boy develop! He is learning so much!

I love coming up with activities for him to do! I have spent the last 10 years planning learning for other's kids and now I feel like Andrew is finally old enough! So thankful I get to be his first teacher!

Cotton Ball and Water

Andrew is so busy! To help keep him out of mischief, I try to do a "different" activity with him, especially when we stay at home all day. Recently, we played with water and cotton balls.

He loved dropping them.

Splashing!

And squishing them!

15 Months

Andrew turned 15 months a couple of days ago. I can't believe how much he has changed!!! It is amazing to look back and see that you weren't walking yet and now we are playing chase.

I wanted to wait until we went to Dr. Austin for his 15 month check up, so I could record all his stats.

At 15 months:
~You weigh 25.5  pounds (60th) and 31 inches (50th)
~You wear size 4 diapers.
~ Wearing 12-18 month clothing, some 24 month clothes.
~Wearing size 4 shoes... not much longer though
~Sleeping. You usually go to bed at 8:30 pm and wake up around 7:30 am.You love for us to rock you to sleep. I love it because it is the only time you will cuddle with us. Daddy puts you to bed every night with a cup of milk and bear.
~No more bottles! You drink milk at meals and water the rest of the day. Occasionally, juice is a special treat.
~Eat 3 meals a day of solids and 2 snacks.  There isn't anything you won't eat. You love it all.

~Napping- You are taking only one nap a day for about 2 hours usually right after lunch.
~You still take Zyrtec.
~You have 8 front teeth. Working on SEVERAL teeth right now.
~Sadly, separation anxiety is still troublesome for you.  One of these days you will know I will ALWAYS come back for you.

~ Words: Mama, Daddy, dog, bubble, more, no, please, waffle, go, boo

Andrew, your little personality is definitely being revealed to us. You are our little problem solver, and will sit for a long time trying to figure something out. You are very patient and are working on your manners. You are really good at saying please when you want something. You have a servant's heart and are always wanting to help mommy and daddy. I hope you never lose this willingness to serve others.  You love kids and are right in the middle of the chaos. I pray that you continue to always love one another.  Your little mind is constantly on the go which means you are usually too. We have started working on teaching you to listen and you are very obedient for a one year old. You do have your moments of stubbornness (usually when it is time to go inside or for a diaper change.) You sit and then throw your head down to the ground. We love all your snuggles and laughs. We are so proud of you and love you so much!
