On Tuesday, I finished feeding Andrew and let him lay on my chest. He LOVES this! I have such a cuddler. When I went to put him down, I noticed blood on his clothes. Of course I freaked and called the doctor. We headed up to his office. It turns out that the blood was caused by a little bit of his umbilical cord still stuck in the belly button. Dr. Austin pulled it off and then put special medicine on it to keep it from bleeding. So thankful it was nothing major. I would love a week where no one heads to the doctor. :-)
Check out the belly! He weighs 11 pounds!!!

My Loves

I LOVE being near family! It is so wonderful watching Hannah and Ethan grow up (which they are doing WAY too fast!!!) I love having weekly dinners with Wes and Shelly.  Yesterday, for the first time, we watched all three kiddos. Not only did we survive, we ENJOYED it! :-) Below are some of the pictures.

The craziness... Andrew is sleeping through it in the background while Baxter is stealing kisses

Activity Mat

Today I got out the activity mat for Andrew. He seemed to enjoy it. Here is a video of him enjoying it.

First Time at Church

On Sunday, Andrew made his debut at church. Since he usually sleeps well during the morning I wasn't a bit concerned. However, Mr. Curious decided he would rather be awake and seeing what was happening than sleep. Needless to say, he grunted and tooted (which are not quiet at all) all through Sunday School. In church he did better with the noises but he was awake. I guess he wanted to be a part of worship! Here he is in his church outfit.

Don't let him fool you... the only time he slept was between Sunday School and church. He had to get a catnap to stay awake for the sermon.

To Make You Smile

Here are some pictures that made me smile. Hope they make you smile too! I can't believe how much more Andrew is looking like a baby and less like a newborn.

My Boys

While I went out to mow, I asked James to watch Andrew. (I know I am weird but I really enjoy mowing, especially since we got the new mower!) When I walked back in this is what I found.

He claims Andrew wanted to be held, but I have a suspicion that Daddy "needed" to hold him. :-)

Lately, we have been trying to go on walks in the evening. This way I get out of the house.  I deal with Baxter (which is a great arm workout!) and James pushes the stroller. Andrew prefers Daddy since he pays much more attention to the road and bumps.

New Discovery

Andrew has discovered his tongue! :-)

Trip to Houston

Last Friday James, Andrew and I made the journey into Houston for a family friend's wedding. We decided since Andrew would be a month, we would try to make it. Needless to say, Gigi was all about showing this little guy off. It was quite an evening! Andrew did great and we only had to stop once to feed him, but the weather was wild with a cold front blowing though and it was pouring!

My brother, Mike, met Andrew for the first time.  Aunt Shelly and Uncle Wes bought him a adorable tie. I was so glad he had an occasion to wear it too!!!
On Saturday morning, we headed to Granny and Papaw's. Andrew had more family to meet!

Four Generations
He LOVED Granny rocking and feeding him!
Then we headed back to my mom's for dinner. My brother holding him.
Uncle Tanner holding him. Andrew had his arm up just in case he needed to catch himself  :-)
We had a great time seeing family, but it is definitely more challenging making the drive!

Whale... I am three weeks

Andrew was three weeks today! On Wednesday he weighted 8 pounds 10 ounces. We went to the doctor and he was given a prescription for his reflex. It has helped; he has stopped making the gagging sounds. :-)

This week Hannah Kate held Andrew for the first time!

And Andrew met his best buddy, Coleman. Coleman is the son of our friends, The Leblancs. Coleman was born a week earlier than Andrew. The boys were supposed to be a month apart but Coleman came a week late and Andrew a week early. :-)

Here are a few more shots to make you smile.
